BEFORE AND AFTER
East Side Readymade Decorating
A newly single dad needed to furnish a rental from scratch before school started. We couldn't make structural changes, so the makeover was limited to paint and furnishings. The top goals were to hide the busy parquet and unsightly HVACs with big rugs and strategically placed furniture.
Ubiquitous "landlord linen white" was repainted in soft grey with colorful accent walls. Making the doors, walls and baseboards all the same color disguises bland trim and low ceilings. The awkward L-shaped living room was another challenge. Grounded by a sectional sofa in one corner, a floating cabinet with lift TV sits in the alcove.
