Small changes, big results
The surprise of this project was both how little, and how much, changed.
Given the transformation, it's hard to believe the only new element in the living room is the upholstered furniture. The soothing palette was built on beautiful steel-blues we had painted during a prior kitchen renovation.
In the home office, the ease of digitizing made it possible to swap bulky built-ins for a sleek parson's desk, and restore the space to its original expansiveness.
The final touch was replacing an old sideboard with wall-hung mid-century shelving, versatile enough for displaying both frames and Martha's hand-thrown pottery.
