BEFORE AND AFTER
The depth of Drew's heartache was representative of anyone who's ever fallen in love with a classic pre-war: He'd bought it for all its original details (moldings, french doors, oak floors) only to find that ALL of it had to be ripped out, to make the home he really wanted.
The desire to keep the old stuff was deep, but after four different contractors concurred, we went to work, tearing it down to rebuild an authentic "pre-war" gem that's better than it ever was. Even the hardware on the kitchen cabinets matches the old Hoosier latches.
